catch up

wow...i think facebook has overtaken me. my poor blog has been neglected. let's see...where to start...

since i last posted, chris worked the superbowl. he and 3 other guys went up to assist. they worked saturday night until about 5 in the morning. he had some guy jump up on the back of his horse. not smart, especially since he was on patriot. that guy ended up getting arrested. apparently is was quite cold that night. during the superbowl, they were at the stadium and then headed to the steelers after party.

chris also turned 42 in early february. roy & i took him to roy's hawaiin fusion for dinner. if anyone wants a phenomenal filet, i highly recommend roy's. it's exquisite!!!

i scored my first par on a par 4 last monday. chris & i walked 9 and on the first hole, i was perfect. it all went downhill from there. in fact, i think that was the only hole i kept score on.

i got some new rollerblades yesterday. i've been out on them twice and no crashes yet. although i have a blister on each ankle. they are nice blades (so some guy says that has the same pair that was on the trail also) but need a little breaking in. the weather is so inviting lately & i just couldn't stay inside anymore. i'd really like to get a kayak.

this coming weekend, chris, brian, jess, leann, david & i are all going camping. i am so excited. then the first weekend of april, i am surprising chris with a weekend of fun. can't let the cat out of the bag yet.

chris's work has been busy. the fair is in march and then spring break. the new sheriff has been making some changes and they have all been for the better. this guy is sharp. he is counting down the days until july. we are heading out to montana. he gets to go for a month... so not fair. i will only be out there about 2 weeks.

my work...ehhh... good days and ok days. just thankful that i have a job. not looking forward to our fair. it puts a bad taste in your mouth when all you do is work them. i too am counting down until july.

no word on the offer of the house yet. chris & i are still believing our prayers will be answered and it will be ours to call home. i think will & bailey might be just as excited as we are. apparently they ask amy all the time if we got 'our house' yet... hey, if they can believe for it, it's gotta be right!

it seems we have become the safe house for neighborhood dogs. i guess if we stopped feeding them & loving on them, they would not stick around. but they are just so dern cute when they sit on their butts and beg. luckily, savannah has a home with cory & angie. she hung around here while they were in indiana. i don't think she ever left the house. then one night, she brought over a friend. no idea where that dog belonged. cute though...

here's a new visitor... a scorpion!!! a dead scorpion now but irregardless...SCARY! chris found it in the bathroom this morning. he thought it was fuzz. fuzz with a curly tail and a stinger on the end of it. hopefully that will be the only one of its kind. maybe the shock wave of it's death will resonate though out the neighborhood that they are most certainly NOT welcome!!!

chris & i are doing awesome. life's good when you are blessed! we have been trying to spend more time together. work can consume you before you know it. we continue to be thankful for what we have been given.

in a nutshell, that's us lately. just enjoying life and each other...

Neglected is not the word...maybe completely ignored!!!

Check the socks you are using. The blades shouldn't really give you blisters even if they are new. Make sure your socks are smooth cotton (not ribbed) on the ankles otherwise they will rub. :)

Finally, you too! I just finished reading Stacy's and reminiscing about Christmas. Miss you, glad you had a good campout this weekend.
