chris reminded me that no matter what political views or opinions we have, we are obligated to pray for our leaders according to the Word.
"Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves."
case in point. after 9/11, former President Bush's approval ratings plummeted. we as a nation failed to support him, failed to pray for him. look where we are at now, as a result of us not obeying what we are told to do.
sometimes, we need to be reminded. and what a great man i have next to me to be my reminder.

- chris and i met through work about two years before we started dating. although he says that he was navel lint, he caught my attention. he called me at work one day asking about assisting at the county fair that was soon approaching. next thing i knew, he was asking me to dinner. three months after we started dating, an amazing, unbelievable, magical proposal happened at lake eola in orlando on 06.15.06. exactly a year to the date of our first 'date', we were married. we are blessed with an amazing family whom we love dearly. our love for each other has grown stronger with each day. we are so thankful for the blessings that we have and for those yet to come.

I agree completely, People need to take that even a step further than just our leaders, but to eachother...family, friends, neighbors, strangers...what a better world this would be if we were all a little less self consumed and judgemental of others.
