mediterranean scallops and artichoke-mushroom pasta

SUCCESS! sorta. chris knew that i was going to attempt another 'creative' dinner last night. he calls while i am still at work to tell me that he now had to fly last night. i asked if they could just land here for dinner. (how convenient to have a landing pad in your backyard). he said that he would ask brent, the pilot, and call me back.

when he calls me back, it's brent on the phone asking if it's ok that they land here to eat and to make sure he wasn't imposing. of course i said no. then ever so sly he asks if it was ok if he could bring pizza! NICE! they did however bring steak and potatoes as a back up. no sense of adventure.

the dinner was scallops broiled on top of zucchini, squash and plum tomatoes that were marinated in some concoction. the scallops had a scampi sauce on top. the pasta was an italian herb flavor with artichoke, portabella mushrooms and red bell peppers topped with parmesan cheese.

pat on the back to me...it was good. they even had seconds. so, i redeemed myself from monday nights dog food looking dinner. wonder what to make next???
